It left International viewers with the idea that basically our culture was an even and non diverse one.This film has brought intelligence and heart back to our screens.Australia has a brilliance and happiness that other cultures envy.Even when we are down and out or being discriminated against we manage to find humor.This film definitely has those qualities.However remember to bring some tissues , because this film will surely touch your very soul.

Lots of great actors in supporting roles and cameos including the hilarious Kerry Walker in a blink and you'll miss it part.

Perhaps the good felling I felt when watching Holding The Man is the intense acting of Ryan Corr. In 1985, Tim interviews an HIV patient called Richard for a play he is writing. Here's a true story, honestly told, that will see audiences genuinely moved. The acting is superb and the story relatively faithful to the original novel but it has some flaws.
